June 19, 2010: Announcing our latest endeavor, to promote the arts in conjunction with all the great artists in NE Mpls!  Our arts!NE site is offering to link to artists' sites and to provide webpages, if needed.  It would be great to work with you all!  See our business offer to promote you throughout the year at arts.nempls.mn/offer. June 3, 2010: Since we had been to the Northrup King Building for the last First Thursday, I decided to go myself to the Casket Arts Building to see the activity there.  The turnout was low and I had a chance to just see around the main building and the Carriage House building in the back.  Some nice artists are featured and the presentations are vibrant.  Looking forward to a return visit during an upcoming event. May 14, 2010: We went to the Northrup King Building for Art-a-Whirl already around 5:30pm ~ got an early start to the weekend!  It was great to see so many people there already.  We had a snack in the Magic Bus Cafe, then went up to see Britta Kauppila, Tia Salmela Keobounpheng, Shoshana Englard, Ann Zitzmann, Emily Johnson, Betty Jäger, Susan Frerichs, Patricia DeVries, to name just some!  It was a beautiful evening, weatherwise and artwise.  After that, we hopped over to Johnson St for the movie at about 7:45.  It was great too.  Thanks to the Johnson Street Merchants for all they do for the neighborhood! May 7, 2010: We experienced the First Thursday in the Arts District at the Northrup King Building for the first time last night.  It is a great event.  The artists with open studios presented themselves very well.  The variety of art mediums is impressive.  Many things caught the eye of my artistic daughter (metal jewelry, woodwork art, splatter painting).  But, I missed meeting some of the specific artists that I was hoping to see...!  It was, however, a very nice preview in anticipation of Art-a-Whirl and Johnstock next weekend!
